A forward-looking processing facility for salmon and trout is being built by Hardanger Fiske\u00adfor\u00adedling in a new fishing port at Langev\u00e5g on B\u00f8mlo. PTG will be providing it with an upgraded version of its well-tested plant for ice production, distri\u00adbution and storage, as well as a refri\u00adge\u00adrated seawater (RSW) plant and other refri\u00adge\u00adration systems. The whole delivery will be manufactured by PTG in Norway.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cThis has been an important contract for us,\u201d he explains. \u201cThe new plant will contain many of the products our group can provide. We\u2019re able to supply everything the customer wants, and to deliver a complete system.\u201d<\/p>\n

New generation of well-tested ice system<\/strong>
\nThe complete delivery of an ice system for production, distri\u00adbution and storage involves a well-tested solution with a good reputation. Over the past year, PTG has devoted much time and resources to upgrading it further.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeeting new require\u00adments and challenges intro\u00adduced by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority has made a good system even better and given it even higher hygiene standards,\u201d says Fjellstad. The contract with Hardanger Fiske\u00adfor\u00adedling is worth about NOK 15 million.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Forward-looking facility<\/strong>
\nAccording to kyst.no, the fish processing facility is set to occupy a central and forward-looking position in a new fishing port under construction at Langev\u00e5g. This devel\u00adopment covers 2 000 square metres of new buildings as well as the conversion of 2 000 square metres in existing struc\u00adtures and new process equipment for the factory.<\/p>\n

The latter is being constructed to receive fish from waiting cages, harvest boats and wellboats, and includes refri\u00adge\u00adrated tank capacity for 250 tonnes of fish. It is being designed with an eye to flexi\u00adbility for the customer, sustai\u00adna\u00adbility and cost-effective handling of residual raw materials.<\/p>\n

Production in Norway<\/strong>
\n\u201cWe\u2019ve assembled some of the companies which rank among the best in Norway for tempe\u00adrature control into a single group,\u201d says Fjellstad. \u201cBy combining expertise built up in different teams, we can now deliver even better products.\u201d<\/p>\n

PTG has both expanded and moder\u00adnised its factory at Malme\u00adfjorden in Romsdal, where the RSW plant and the refri\u00adge\u00adration and ice systems for Hardanger
\nFiske\u00adfor\u00adedling are to be manufactured.<\/p>\n
