This follows several earlier deliveries of efficient systems for cooling seawater and fish to S\u00f8lvtrans and Aas Mek Verksted.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due for delivery in 2022, the three new S\u00f8lvtrans vessels are Aas Mek Verksted\u2019s own AAS 3002 ST design. Based in Vestnes local authority in M\u00f8re og Romsdal,&nbsp;the family-owned yard specia\u00adlises in devel\u00adoping and building wellboats, and offers everything from design and construction to service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local value creation<br><\/strong>PTG FrioNordica is located in Malme\u00adfjorden outside Molde and the RSW systems will not have far to travel to the yard, which is a little further south. S\u00f8lvtrans has its head office in \u00c5lesund, an hour\u2019s drive from Aas Mek Verksted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very proud that Aas Mek Verksted has selected us again as a supplier to the S\u00f8lvtrans newbuil\u00addings,\u201d says Ketil R\u00f8berg, sales and marketing vice president for marine and industry at&nbsp;PTG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe regard this as a decla\u00adration of confi\u00addence and a confir\u00admation of our quality. S\u00f8lvtrans is the world\u2019s largest wellboat operator, and we\u2019re also proud that it \u2013 along with Aas Mek Verksted \u2013 regards us as a quality supply of RSW systems.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Top quality<br><\/strong>The wellboats will be 77 metres long and outfitted with top-quality solutions for trans\u00adporting live fish in open and closed systems with RSW cooling. Capacity will be 3 000 m\u00b3, corre\u00adsponding to about 400\u2013500 tonnes of live&nbsp;fish.<\/p>\n<p>RSW systems are complete solutions for efficient cooling of seawater and fish. A perfect tempe\u00adrature is important for the welfare and careful handling of fish being trans\u00adported alive from sea to&nbsp;shore.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the three new wellboats will be equipped with a PTG FrioNordica RSW system of 2 100 kW. Using ammonia as a natural refri\u00adgerant, they are very energy efficient and space saving.<\/p>\n<p>All PTG FrioNordica RSW systems feature fully-welded titanium heat exchangers.
