Perfect Tempe\u00adrature Group (PTG) is to supply sustai\u00adnable freezer and refri\u00adge\u00adrated storage solutions to Glacio, one of Norway\u2019s leading providers of cold-chain logistics, under an agreement which covers the delivery of a large two-stage ammonia (NH3<\/sub>) plant and repre\u00adsents substantial value for PTG.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cOur ambition is to build Norway\u2019s largest commercial cold store in T\u00f8nsberg, with a fully-automated high bay,\u201d says Glacio CEO Espen S Karlsen. \u201cChoosing PTG as a long-term partner has been important here.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to find a supplier with a size which made us comfor\u00adtable in terms of a long-term perspective and stability. PTG is a solid company which will support us with expertise, experience and relia\u00adbility \u2013 and not least with regard to service intervals and unforeseen incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n

Estab\u00adlished in 2003, Glacio has extensive experience with cold storage and tempe\u00adrature-controlled transport. The group currently has four warehouse hotels for frozen and refri\u00adge\u00adrated products, including two in Norway\u2019s \u00d8stfold region and two in Sweden.<\/p>\n

Strate\u00adgically positioned<\/strong>
Karlsen reports that the company has already secured substantial contracts, including one from Nortura T\u00f8nsberg, and has high expecta\u00adtions for its expansion Norway.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new warehouse hotel is strate\u00adgically positioned at \u00c5skollen in T\u00f8nsberg, adjacent to the E18 highway and close to other big players in the food industry,\u201d he says. \u201cThis location is ideal for efficient transport and closeness to the Oslo region.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not least right next door to Nortura, which is one of our most important customers. Unbroken tempe\u00adrature chain<\/strong>
Glacio will offer a number of services involving an unbroken tempe\u00adrature chain in the new plant, including freezing, freezer and cold stores, super-cooling, thawing, packing and readying for transport. The warehouse hotel is due for completion in April 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy combining these services, we want to be an attractive logistics partner for the market on the western side of the Oslo Fjord,\u201d Karlsen explains.<\/p>\n

He empha\u00adsises the impor\u00adtance of investing in solutions which position the company as a leader for sustai\u00adnable food storage and logistics.<\/p>\n

Big contract<\/strong>
Sales manager Roy Fjellstad at PTG is enthus\u00adi\u00adastic about the contact and the colla\u00adbo\u00adration with Glacio.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an big job for us, involving many of our employees in both Troms\u00f8 and Malme\u00adfjorden,\u201d he says. \u201cA large part of the delivery comprises our own products in the form of the FrioComp compressor units manufactured in our Malme\u00adfjorden factory.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition come several sub-suppliers in Norway, Spain and Germany. We also see that our Grimstad department and affiliate companies in eastern Norway can be quickly mobilised if needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fjellstad says that this has been a highly inter\u00ade\u00adsting job to work on. \u201cWe\u2019ve acquired insights into Glacio\u2019s fantastic expertise in logistics and goods flow, while contri\u00adbuting our expertise in the design of refri\u00adge\u00adration and freezing facilities.<\/p>\n
